Q: Can I really host a bulletin board for free?
A: Yes, you get your own fully functional phpBB bulletin board. You are the administrator, and have full control over how many forums you create, assigning moderators, and managing users.
We now require a one-time setup fee of $10 USD, however, we still host your forum for free indefinitely. This fee is to offset the growing costs of servers and bandwidth. More information can be found
in our support forum
Q: Can I get an SQL dump of my board?
A: No, at this time for a multitude of reasons we do not offer SQL dumps of our hosted boards. We do have nightly backups made of every board we host, so rest assured that your data is safe.
Q: Can I have a Warez-related forum?
A: NO! At the ForumsPlace we take software piracy very seriously, and any discussion boards related to the topic of breaking copy protection, serial numbers, cracks, keys, or otherwise how to steal software are strictly forbidden.
Q: Can I run an adult-oriented board?
A: Possibly. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy on pornography. However, discussion boards with adult topics (marriage, kids, intimacy, self-help, etc.) are allowed if they are run in a tasteful, non-vulgar, and non-pornographic manner.
Links to porn sites, pornographic images, and other similar content are forbidden and fall under our zero tolerance policy. As the administrator of your board, it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure the content of your forum falls within our guidelines.
Q: How long will it take to get my board setup?
A: You can have your new bulletin board up and running in just minutes. Coming up with a name for your board will be the most difficult part of the whole process. Once you have decided on a name, complete the registration form and press submit. Within seconds your board will be ready for you to configure and a password will be sent to your e-mail address.
Log-in using the username you chose and the password that arrived in your e-mail. You will have full administrative access to your board. After logging-in, click the Go to Administration Panel link at the bottom of the page. From there you can modify and delete your forums, change your forum style (color scheme), and set up moderators and smilies.
Q: Can I change the look of my board?

For a fee of $10 we will configure your board, including the installation of up to 5 styles, configuration of up to 5 usergroups, creation of up to 5 forum categories and 20 forums. Use the

Q: How do my users add pictures to their posts?
A: Thanks to
ThePixPlace your members can include photos and images in their posts. At the bottom of every page is a quick image upload box that can be used to post photos, images, and graphics. The user will be temporarily taken away from your forum when the upload finishes, and given a bbcode link to cut and paste into their post.
This is a free service sponsored by

Q: I have a phpBB board hosted elsewhere, can I import it here?
A: The short answer is YES! After you register for your board here, drop us an e-mail with your SQL dump of your old board. The SQL dump can be done from within your existing boards Administration Panel, or from phpMyAdmin if you have access to it.
Once you have your SQL dump, zip (or gzip) it up and e-mail it to import@forumsplace.com. We will have your old board imported usually within 24 hours. Please note that the import will overwrite any users, posts, forums, or categories that were created here.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact import@forumsplace.com.
